The software to create heightfields for self created planets now also supports PNGs and is available from CVS. A windows binary is available and will be released after successful testing. - 29.11.2005

Started adding Blue Marble Next Generation data. It contains 500m/pixel maps, one for every month in 2004. I will continue to add these maps one by one. Currently the months January, February, March and July are available. - 29.10.2005
Released version 1.0.4. It now supports local caching (like the 1.1.0) version. It will automatically save and reuse all downloaded data up to a given size (50MB default, which is normally quite sufficient, can be configured using the options dialog). This makes it possible to use earth3d with narrow band connections. - 24.06.2005
Released version 1.0.2. The only difference is, that 1.0.2 has support for using http proxys. The http proxy can be set in the options dialog.
