The software to create heightfields for self created planets now also supports PNGs and is available from CVS.
A windows binary is available and will be released after successful testing.

Binary release of the server software for windows. The source for this and for all other
platforms is available from the CVS. The server software supports TIF and PNG as input (the windows
binary only supports PNG).

Started adding Blue Marble Next Generation data. It contains
500m/pixel maps, one for every month in 2004. I will continue to add these
maps one by one. Currently the months January, February, March and July are
available.

Released version 1.0.4. It now supports local caching (like the 1.1.0)
version. It will automatically save and reuse all downloaded data up to
a given size (50MB default, which is normally quite sufficient, can be
configured using the options dialog). This makes it possible to use earth3d
with narrow band connections.

Released version 1.0.2. The only difference is, that 1.0.2 has support for using http proxys. The http proxy
can be set in the options dialog.

import new map data that has a height that is a multiple of 256 pixels.
